This NEW four-year Aerospace Engineering degree programme was developed partly in response to the considerable growth projection in the aerospace sector and partly to satisfy the career aspirations of students. This programme is designed to satisfy the strong demands presented by the lucrative aviation industry, which is technology driven, investment intensive and prides itself on highly skilled manpower. In view of its relevance to industry, this programme has received the overwhelming support of the Economic Development Board, Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore), SIA Engineering Company, DSO Laboratories, Republic of Singapore Air Force, Rolls Royce International, Pratt & Whitney, Turbine Overhaul Services, Hamiliton Sundstrand and Eurocopter South East Asia, just to name a few.

In this programme, you will learn how to apply advanced aerospace science and engineering principles in the design, optimisation and implementation of flight vehicles, their controllability and their propulsion systems. There are essentially five basic cluster areas of study which form the special features of the curriculum. A rigorous education in these five cluster areas will stand you in good stead for a career in the aerospace industry both in Singapore and abroad:

  • Aircraft Design and Manufacturing
  • Aerodynamics, Propulsion and Aircraft Performance
  • Aircraft Maintenance ano Reliability
  • Aircraft Materials and Structures
  • Avionic Systems Engineering
