The MSc in Economics programme is designed to prepare graduates with advanced knowledge for competitive entry into a top PhD programme, as well as diverse careers in academia, industry, the public sector, and domestic and international economic organisations. Subject to the approval of the graduate school, graduates in the MSc programme may also proceed to the PhD in Economics programme. As the economic centre of gravity shifts to Asia , there would invariably be an increase in demand for economic consultants and analysts. The PhD in Economics programme is a research degree programme with coursework, designed to equip graduates with rigorous knowledge of economic analysis and applications at the doctoral level.
